ROLAND, Okla. – A hallmark of millennial hip hop, Petey Pablo will be bringing his hits to Lee Creek Tavern inside Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland on Friday, July 12, at 8 p.m.

The show is free to the public ages 21 and up.

One of the more versatile rappers who came out of the Dirty South school of hip-hop in the early 2000s, multiplatinum and Grammy-nominated North Carolina native Petey Pablo has demonstrated the art of mixing poignancy with sharp, gut-wrenching lyrics that reach across age, race and social status. Known for anthems like “Raise Up,” “Freek-A-Leek” and “Carolina Colors,” his chart-topping hit “Raise Up” peaked at No. 1 on the US Billboard Rap Chart.

Collaborating with the likes of Ciara, Timbaland, Chris Brown and Lil Wayne, Pablo’s influence extends far beyond his solo career. Pablo’s Grammy-nominated debut album, “Diary of a Sinner: 1st Entry,” and “Still Writing in My Diary: 2nd Entry” showcase his diverse talent, and in early 2003, Petey Pablo's debut album received a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album. His collaboration with Ciara, “Goodies,” was certified platinum as it rose to the top of the Billboard US Top 100, R&B and UK charts in 2004. Pablo has demonstrated his versatility with roles in “Drumline,” “Just Another Day” and other guest appearances.
