ROLAND, Okla. – Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland is transforming into a spooky wonderland with the return of the highly anticipated KISR Jetsetter’s Ball on Saturday, Oct. 28, starting at 8 p.m. in the Garrison Station Event Center. The party is open to the public and features live entertainment and a $4,000 costume contest.
DJ Olywurld will hold down the turntables at the party from 8 p.m. to midnight. Phil McGarrah kicks off the night in Lee Creek Tavern with his acoustic set from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by the Johnny Dale Roberts Band from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
For costume enthusiasts, KISR’s “Applause-o-Meter” is back to determine the best Halloween costumes to shower with cash. This year, the first-place winner receives $2,500, second-place winner takes home $1,000, and third-place wins $500. Registration begins at 8 p.m. Guests must register by 11 p.m. to be considered. Panel judging runs from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. with Top 10 judging on stage at midnight. Winners must be present to win.
All contestants will be surveyed prior to the start and will be informed if they need to remove any part of their costume that may disqualify them. Guests are reminded that costume masks, full-face paint, hats, hoodies and costume weapons are not allowed outside the designated area of the Garrison Station Event Center. No nudity or implied nudity is allowed.
Entrance to the party is free, and guests must be 21 or older.
