ROLAND, Okla. Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland will welcome standout, genre-fusing country artist Don Louis at 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, to Lee Creek Tavern inside the casino.

A Texas native with a voice as gritty as it is soulful, Louis has carved out a unique space in the music world with his blend of country, rock, and rhythm and blues. His most recent release, “Liquor Talkin’,” has earned him praise as a “game-changing artist” by TODAY.com, “an artist worth watching” by The Tennessean, and “one of the new Black country artists to watch” by BET.

Louis’ music, a fusion of his influences, natural charisma and swagger, is deeply rooted in his own story. He grew up surrounded by wide-open farmland in Commerce, Texas, to the sounds of George Strait and Al Green and the discipline of sports. An All-District defensive end at Commerce High School, Louis went on to play college football at Ouachita Baptist University and Southern Arkansas University before an injury in 2020 shifted his path to music.

Since then, Louis has built a devoted following of more than half a million fans drawn to his powerful vocals, magnetic stage presence and heartfelt songwriting. His music has surpassed 34 million streams across multiple digital platforms and peaked at No. 2 on Apple iTunes. That connection, paired with his dynamic live shows, continues to propel him as one of country music’s most promising stars.

The show is free to those 21 and older.
