TULSA, Okla. – Cherokee Federal, the federal contracting division of Cherokee Nation Businesses, today announced the hiring of Joe Boeckx as chief growth officer to further the organization’s strategic growth plans and facilitate continued expansion within the federal marketplace.
A strategic leader with more than two decades of experience across business operations, corporate development and intelligence operations, Boeckx is known for his proven track record of driving growth at multi-billion-dollar organizations across diverse sectors. With a strong focus on defense, federal services and technology, he has consistently delivered exceptional results at some of the nation’s top companies while navigating complex environments.

Boeckx most recently served as chief growth officer at QinetiQ US, where he led growth strategies for a diverse portfolio across advanced robotics, artificial intelligence and systems engineering. Before joining QinetiQ, Boeckx was president & chief growth officer at Makwa Global, LLC, where he expanded the company’s footprint across several federal markets and led efforts to introduce new capability verticals.

Earlier in his career, Boeckx held senior roles in business development at leading defense and aerospace companies, including Tenax Aerospace, Akima and Leidos, where he helped secure multi-million-dollar contracts with U.S. government agencies and commercial entities. His experience also extends to strategic mergers and acquisitions, most notably during his tenure at Leidos, he was a key member of the integration team during the merger with Lockheed Martin IS&GS.
Boeckx began his career as an Army Officer, serving in various leadership roles before transitioning into the defense and intelligence sectors.
