Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. and Deputy Chief Bryan Warner are proposing a permanent reauthorization of the tribe’s landmark Housing, Jobs and Sustainable Communities Act, with the proposed expansion going before the Council of the Cherokee Nation on Sept. 26.

Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. signed a Council resolution Tuesday supporting compact discussions with Indian Health Service over the tribe’s effort to assume operations of Claremore Indian Hospital by late 2025.
