TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation will be accepting applications for rental properties located at the Keener Addition in Salina. Applications will be available Thursday Sept. 5 at HACN office in Locust Grove, located at 300 Willard Stone Drive.

To meet application requirements, a household member must be a citizen of a federally recognized tribe. Preference will be given to Cherokee Nation families with children enrolled in Salina Public Schools. Household income must also be at or below 80 percent of the Nation Median Income Guidelines and rent amounts will be based on family income. Criminal background checks will be conducted on all household members 18 years of age and older, and other eligibility requirements will apply according to the HACN Rental Programs Policy.

HACN staff will be available to distribute and accept applications for three 3-bedroom units. The first 10 completed applications will be accepted. A completed application must be signed by both head of household and spouse.
