New Cherokee Nation Sequoyah High School Principal Clint Hall

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — The Cherokee Nation is welcoming a new principal to Sequoyah High School.

Clint Hall attended Haskell Indian Junior College (Haskell Indian Nations University) where he earned an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts. He later attended Northeastern State University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Education in School Administration.

“I believe Sequoyah High School is in good hands with new Principal Clint Hall and Superintendent Terry Heustis,” Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. said. “Sequoyah High School is a school with a rich history and a future filled with endless potential. Mr. Hall and Mr. Heustis are equipped to continue our legacy and support the academic and athletic needs of the student body. Deputy Chief Bryan Warner and I wish our students, staff and faculty a great new school year.”

Hall brings 30 years of experience in education, including 18 years of administrative experience along with teaching high school science and coaching football and wrestling. “Being new to the Sequoyah High school family, I have been welcomed with open arms,” said Hall. “There are a lot of people here that truly care about students. ‘We are here for one reason only: kids.’ That’s a quote that I got from Faye Garrison during my time as her assistant elementary principal. That quote has been on every office white board since. I am excited for the opportunity to work with students and have a positive impact here at Sequoyah High School. The staff has already shown me they are here for the students. We have a lot of great things going on here at Sequoyah.”

Hall previously served as the principal and alternative education director for Chouteau High School and as the principal of Locust Grove High School. His teaching and administrative experience began in 1997.

Sequoyah High School’s first day of school for the 2025-’26 school year is Thursday, Aug. 14.

This year the school is welcoming its largest freshmen class ever with 115 freshmen and a total enrollment at Sequoyah of 350.
