TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — The Cherokee Nation will host a luncheon to honor the eight veterans who are departing on the tribe’s 11th Warrior Flight on Monday, Sept. 9.

The Cherokee Nation funds the flight for Cherokee veterans to see the national war memorials erected in their honor in the nation’s capital.

Warriors will be presented with flight vests and caps during the luncheon.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa employees will also celebrate and honor the Warriors by waving flags as they leave for the airport.

Warriors will leave from Tulsa International Airport Monday, Sept. 9, and will arrive back on Sept. 12.
