TULSA, Okla. — Cherokee Nation will release the findings of an economic impact study during a lunch forum at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa on Wednesday, April 2.
The tribe and its businesses continue to expand Oklahoma’s economic opportunities and advantages through employment, labor income, and local production of goods and services. Several state, county and local officials are expected to join tribal leaders and Cherokee Nation Businesses executives for the event.
The event is limited to invitation only. All media are encouraged to attend.
A team of Oklahoma City-based economists recently evaluated Cherokee Nation’s economic impact on northeast Oklahoma. Dr. Russell Evans, partner and chief economist at Thorberg Collectorate and president of the Collectorate’s Regional Economic Advisers division, will present his team’s findings.
The research team carefully collected and reviewed data to ensure Cherokee Nation’s impact on the state is accurately presented. Studies of Cherokee Nation’s economic impact on northeast Oklahoma have been conducted since 2010.
