TULSA, Okla. — Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa will light up Track 5. with rock ’n’ roll for Tonight We Rock with Lit at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9.
Formed in Orange County, California, Lit emerged in the ‘90s with a high-energy blend of punk and power pop. The band made its mark with the platinum-selling 1999 album “A Place in the Sun” and its enduring hit “My Own Worst Enemy,” which earned a Billboard Music Award and later achieved double-platinum status.
Lit’s catalog also includes fan-favorite albums “Atomic,” “Lit,” “The View From the Bottom” and “These Are the Days.” The band’s music has appeared in films, television shows and video games, including “American Reunion,” “Central Intelligence,” “Parks and Recreation” and “Rock Band.” Consequence has also recognized Lit among its “100 Best Pop Punk Bands.”
The group, featuring Ajay Popoff on lead vocals, Jeremy Popoff on lead guitar and vocals, Kevin Baldes on bass, and Taylor Carroll on drums, returned to its signature sound with the 2022 album “Tastes Like Gold.” Combining the spirited rock ’n’ roll of its early years with a modern edge, the album features the songs “Kicked Off the Plane,” “Mouth Shut,” “Do It Again” and “The Life That I Got.”
