In 1974, Rundgren ventured into interactive musicianship with the band Todd Rungren’s Utopia, later evolving into simply Utopia in 1976. Hits like “Can We Still Be Friends” and “Bang the Drum” solidified his status as a musical luminary. His production talents graced albums by Patti Smith, Cheap Trick and other rock icons, shaping the very essence of the genre.
