TULSA, Okla. — Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa will welcome 2014 winner of The Voice and country recording artist Craig Wayne Boyd to the Track 5. stage at 9 p.m. on Friday, April 11.
Boyd, a Dallas native, discovered his passion for music early in life, immersing himself in gospel and country influences. Moving to Nashville in 2004 to chase his dreams, Boyd quickly established himself as a talented songwriter, securing a publishing deal with EMI Music. Over the years, he honed his craft, performing alongside notable country stars like Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser, and Brantley Gilbert.
In 2014, Boyd's career reached new heights when he competed in the seventh season of NBC's hit show, "The Voice." As part of Blake Shelton's team, Boyd captivated audiences nationwide with powerful renditions of classics like "I Walk the Line" and "You Look So Good in Love." His journey included dramatic twists, including being stolen by Coach Gwen Stefani and eventually reclaimed by Shelton, who guided him to victory. Boyd's heartfelt performances culminated in the chart-topping original single, "My Baby's Got a Smile on Her Face," which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.
Since his victory, Boyd has continued to captivate fans with his distinctive blend of classic country charm and modern country-rock edge, releasing music independently and touring extensively across the country.
