TULSA, Okla. — Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa will welcome the return of ‘80s rock icons Great White and Slaughter at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, at Hard Rock Live inside the casino.
Since forming in 1982, Great White has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide, earned two platinum albums and received a Grammy nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance for their enduring hit “Once Bitten, Twice Shy.”
Great White’s success includes six Top 100 Billboard hits, nine Top 200 Billboard albums and numerous staples of 1980s rock that defined a generation. Tracks like “Rock Me,” “Save Your Love,” “Mista Bone,” “House of Broken Love” and “Lady Red Light” continue to resonate with fans around the world. The band has also topped MTV four times, a testament to its dominance during the height of hair metal’s mainstream glory.
Joining Great White is fellow rock juggernaut Slaughter, which burst onto the music scene in 1990 and quickly became one of the era’s most recognizable names. Its multiplatinum debut album, “Stick It to Ya,” launched a string of hits, including “Up All Night,” “Fly to the Angels” and “Spend My Life,” which dominated both radio and MTV, earning five No. 1 MTV videos and seven AOR radio staples.
Its sophomore effort “The Wild Life” earned platinum certification and garnered the band an American Music Award for Favorite New Heavy Metal/Hard Rock Artist. Slaughter continues to tour globally, performing 40 to 50 shows annually and drawing enthusiastic crowds to each performance.
