TULSA, Okla. – Jason Young Band is set to take the stage for a free show at Track 5., located inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa, on Friday, March 8, at 9 p.m.
Jason Young, hailing from Edmond, Oklahoma, has appeared as a notable figure in the country music scene. In 2017, he founded the Jason Young Band, a powerhouse ensemble featuring Chandler Austin, Mike Myers, David Short, Brandon Brackett and Pat Goldsby as tour manager.
The Jason Young Band has achieved considerable success with five-chart topping singles on Texas radio, including hits like “Long Way Home,” “The Moment,” “Under My Skin,” “Vinyl” and “POOR.” Notably, “Long Way Home” found its way into the film “An Evergreen Christmas,” solidifying Young’s presence beyond the music realm. Additionally, the band’s single “Crank It Up” was featured in the Amazon movie “Shut Up Anthony.”
In 2020, Young, alongside Cross Canadian Ragweed’s Grady Cross and Randy Ragsdale, formed Cross Rags and Young. Their debut single, “Family Name,” spent 35 weeks on the Texas Chats, followed by the No. 1 hit “Reckless,” propelling the trio to a nomination for Best New Group from Texas Regional Radio.
Young’s influence extends beyond music, as he became one of five artists selected for the State of Oklahoma Tourism Campaign “Imagine That” in 2023. The band’s performance of “Blue Skies” now serves as the campaign’s anthem in radio and TV advertising, showcasing the beauty and culture of the state.
