WEST SILOAM SPRINGS, Okla. — Cherokee Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs will welcome hip-hop pioneers Nappy Roots and Baby Bash Friday, Aug. 29, at SEVEN Bar inside the casino. Nappy Roots will perform at 9 p.m. Baby Bash will take the stage at 10 p.m.
Grammy-nominated hip-hop group Nappy Roots brings more than two decades of influential music, marked by its infectious Southern charm and honest storytelling. Since its debut in 1998, the Kentucky-based collective, now a four-man crew featuring Skinny Deville, Fishscales, B. Stille and Ron Clutch, has delivered nine studio albums and 14 mixtapes, including the platinum-certified “Watermelon, Chicken & Gritz.” Its smash hit, “Good Day,” recently earned them a new gold certification, and the group continues to connect with fans through both music and entrepreneurship, including its successful Atlanta-based brewery, Atlantucky Brewing Company. The band’s journey and resilience are captured in the ongoing project “40 Akerz & A Brew,” which blends music, craft beer and storytelling.
Joining Nappy Roots is West Coast sensation Baby Bash, who rose to international fame with hits such as “Suga Suga,” “Cyclone” and “What Is It,” featuring Sean Kingston. Baby Bash has collaborated with icons such as Carlos Santana, Jennifer Lopez, Akon, T-Pain, Frankie J and Pitbull. In addition to chart-topping singles, he’s contributed to major Latin and mainstream crossover hits, including the No. 1 “Obsession (No Es Amor).” With more than eight studio albums and a music career spanning decades and genres, Baby Bash continues to deliver hits with fresh and innovative sounds through his label, Bashtown Music.
