TULSA, Okla. — Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa is welcoming the high-octane rock bands Fuel and Lit to the stage at 8 p.m. on June 14 at Hard Rock Live inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.
Formed in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in 1989 by guitarist and songwriter Carl Bell, Fuel quickly ascended the rock charts with its distinctive sound. The band's platinum-certified album “Sunburn” featured the hit single "Shimmer," propelling it into the mainstream. Fuel’s follow-up album, “Something Like Human,” achieved double-platinum status, driven by chart-toppers like "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)" — which held the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Rock charts for more than three months — and "Bad Day." In 2013, Billboard recognized "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)" as the No. 6 alternative rock song of the past 25 years.
After a hiatus, Fuel’s founder, Carl Bell, and longtime drummer Kevin Miller reunited in 2021, bringing in new members Aaron Scott (lead vocals, guitar), Mark Klotz (guitar, vocals) and Tommy Nat (bass, vocals). This revitalized lineup released “Ånomåly,” the band’s first album in 18 years, signaling a powerful return to the rock scene.
Infused rock 'n' roll with punk energy and a power-pop sensibility, Lit formed in 1988 in Orange County, California. The band's 1999 breakthrough album, “A Place in the Sun,” featured the hit "My Own Worst Enemy," which topped the charts and earned the band a Billboard Music Award. The album also produced successful singles like "Zip-Lock" and "Miserable," the latter's music video famously featuring Pamela Anderson.
Over the years, Lit has maintained its presence in the rock world, performing at notable events like Woodstock '99 and having its music featured in films and TV shows such as “American Reunion,” “Central Intelligence” and “Parks and Recreation.” The band’s discography includes albums like “Atomic” (2001), “Lit” (2004) and “The View From the Bottom” (2012). In 2022, the band released its seventh studio album, “Tastes Like Gold,” reaffirming its commitment to delivering energetic rock music.
Tickets start at $39.50 and go on sale Feb. 14.
