TUNICA, Miss. — “Always Tina,” a tribute to the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll Tina Turner, is rolling into town and performing at the Gold Strike Theater inside Gold Strike Casino Resort on Friday, Dec. 13, at 8 p.m.

Tickets start at $19.50 and go on sale Sept. 27.

“Always Tina” celebrates Turner’s five decades of rock dominance with a powerful, full production show, backed by a full band with iconic vocals and energetic dancing.

Tina is played by Shar Wils, who has performed her celebrated singing and dancing shows all over the world. With entertainment experience at numerous theaters and resorts in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Bangkok, Singapore, Bahrain and Toronto, among others, Wils brings Tina to life like no other. Her talent has been presented on “Entertainment Tonight” and “The People’s Choice Awards.” She has also been a featured guest artist in several Las Vegas productions.

Wils is backed by Russ Olsen on guitar and vocals, Marvin Sperling on bass and vocals, and Sam Cunningham on drums and vocals. Influenced by the Rolling Stones, Olsen has played all over the world in various professional original and tribute bands. He joined the “Always Tina” team after seeing the passion and drive in the production’s performances. Sperling has laid the foundation for many top-notch rock bands and is one half of the hardest-working rhythm sections in rock. Cunningham is also considered a much sought-after drummer in the Los Angeles area music scene. He joins the “Always Tina” team after sharing the enthusiasm for the production.
