WEST SILOAM SPRINGS, Okla. — Cherokee Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs will welcome Grammy-nominated artist and Icon Award recipient Ginuwine at 8 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at SEVEN Bar inside the casino.
Ginuwine, born Elgin B. Lumpkin, rose to prominence as one of the defining voices of 1990s R&B. His breakout hit, “Pony,” became a cultural phenomenon, earning enduring popularity through film, television and pop culture moments that continue to introduce his music to new audiences.
Launching his career as part of the influential Swing Mob collective founded by DeVante Swing of Jodeci, Ginuwine quickly established himself as a standout talent before signing with Epic Records as a solo artist.
His early releases cemented his status as a chart-topping performer, with multiplatinum albums “Ginuwine… The Bachelor” and “100% Ginuwine” producing hit singles such as “Pony,” “So Anxious” and “None of Ur Friends Business.” He continued his success with “The Life” and “The Senior,” while the chart-dominating ballad “Differences” became one of his most recognizable songs, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and crossing over to the Billboard Hot 100.
Ginuwine’s signature sound — marked by smooth vocals and innovative production — was shaped through collaborations with industry heavyweights, including Missy Elliott, Static Major and Timbaland.
In addition to his solo career, Ginuwine joined fellow R&B artists Tyrese and Tank to form the supergroup TGT. Their Grammy-nominated debut album “Three Kings” further showcased Ginuwine’s versatility and ability to evolve within the genre.
Beyond music, Ginuwine has built a multifaceted career in entertainment, appearing in film, television and stage productions, including roles in “Juwanna Mann,” “Moesha,” “Half & Half” and NBC’s “Parks and Recreation.” He has also performed internationally on major tours, consistently drawing large audiences worldwide.
With more than 15 million albums sold in the United States and a career spanning more than two decades, Ginuwine remains a celebrated figure in R&B, continuing to tour and connect with fans worldwide.
The show is free to those 21 and older.
