TULSA, Okla. – Representatives of Cherokee Nation and its businesses will join community members in a Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Saturday, raising funds and awareness to find a cure for the disease.
Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's is the world's largest fundraiser for Alzheimer's care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease.
The Alzheimer’s Association is a worldwide voluntary health organization leading the way in the fight to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia. Through its vision of a world without Alzheimer’s, the nonprofit organization aims to eliminate the disease through the advancement of research and enhancement of care and support for all affected, as well as helping reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
