ROLAND, Okla. – Drew Parker’s star is on the rise in the country music galaxy, an echo of his co-written lyrics as they make their way up the Billboard charts and to RIAA platinum certification. On Jan. 31, the singer-songwriter from Nashville is set for a free show in Lee Creek Tavern inside Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland.

The free concert begins at 8 p.m. One Star Rewards members can earn entries throughout the day of the show for their chance to win a signed acoustic guitar from Parker after the concert.

Coming from a small, unincorporated town in Georgia, Parker began singing at age 3, and at 14 decided to pick up a guitar and teach himself how to play songs from his inspirations such as Keith Whitley, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Travis Tritt and Alan Jackson. It wasn’t long before he expanded his musical abilities to include piano, which now serves him well while crafting lyrics and rhymes into songs.

In 2015, Parker made the move from his small town to Nashville, signing a publishing deal just two years later. The artist has earned the opportunity to open up for the likes of Luke Combs, Brett Eldredge, Alabama and Dwight Yoakam.

Parker co-wrote Luke Combs’ debut, platinum-selling record, “This One’s For You.” His own debut self-titled EP includes the fan favorites “California Ain’t For Ya,” “Just Asking” and “Slow Down Small Town.”
