Tickets on sale for Cherokee Heritage Center’s SevenStar Gala on Oct. 20

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – The Cherokee Heritage Center is hosting its annual SevenStar Gala on Oct. 20 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.

The annual event recognizes those who promote the Cherokee National Historical Society's mission to preserve, promote and teach Cherokee history and culture.

This year’s honorees include Dr. Charles Grim, Contemporary Achievement Award; The Cherokee Phoenix, Stalwart Award; John V. Paden, Warrior Award; and Bill Glass Jr., Tradition Bearer Award.

The gala also serves as the primary fundraiser for the Cherokee Heritage Center. The evening includes a vibrant silent auction featuring one-on-one art classes led by Cherokee National Treasures and a Branson vacation package.

In addition, nationally acclaimed Cherokee artists MaryBeth Timothy and Cherokee National Treasure Mike Dart will each demonstrate live art during the event, with the final pieces available for auction at the end of the night.
