WATTS, Okla. – Employees from Cherokee Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs visited Watts Public Schools with school supplies to ensure the students have the tools to be successful.
Nearly 100 supplies, including notebooks, pencils, crayons and markers, were collected during a supply drive at Cherokee Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs.
“We appreciate the generosity of Cherokee Nation Entertainment,” said Martin Bradford, principal of Watts Public Schools. “We go through so many learning tools here. Supplies are always needed.”
The items, purchased by employees and grouped by category before being delivered to Watts, will be distributed among the students at the school.
“We were so happy to help out the Watts School district with our school supply drive this year,” said Bernadette Keck, employee services generalist for Cherokee Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs. “Several employees were able to participate in the Junior Achievement program’s JA in a Day last fall at Watts, and this was a nice way to let the children and staff at Watts schools know they are in our thoughts and what a great experience we had.”
