TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – The Cherokee Nation will host a special electric vehicle ride and drive event Friday at the tribe’s W.W. Keeler Tribal Complex in Tahlequah.

The public will be able to test drive Nissan Leafs after remarks from Secretary of Natural Resources Sara Hill at 11 a.m. inside the tribal complex. As part of the opening remarks, Nissan USA representatives will also announce a special incentive package for Cherokee Nation citizens and employees purchasing a Nissan electric vehicle.

The Cherokee Nation currently has three electric vehicles in the tribe’s fleet.
