WEST SILOAM SPRINGS, Okla. – Comedian Roy Wood Jr. has become a comedic staple inside the Qualla Ballroom at Cherokee Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs. His shows have become one of the fastest-selling for the venue, and on Jan. 27, he returns with fresh content and even more laughs.

Wood brings his quick-witted humor and lots of laughter back to the Qualla Ballroom stage at 9 p.m. Tickets are $15 and available now.

Roy Wood Jr. is a correspondent on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.” In 2017, Wood premiered his first one-hour standup special, “Father Figure,” on Comedy Central and a live album of the same name. In the same year, he was named the new host for Season 4 of Comedy Central’s storytelling series, “This is Not Happening.”

His comedy has entertained millions across stage, television and radio. Prior to “The Daily Show,” Wood starred for three seasons on TBS’ “Sullivan & Son.”

Wood, a native of Birmingham, Alabama, began his comedy career in 1999 at the age of 19. In October 2006, Wood made his network television debut on “The Late Show with David Letterman.” In 2008, Wood appeared on HBO’s historic “Def Comedy Jam.”

The comedian was selected by America as one of the top three finalists on 2010s “Last Comic Standing” on NBC. Wood has made appearances on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” TBS’ “Conan,” “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” “Late Night with Seth Meyers” and the “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”

Wood appeared at the Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in the New Faces Showcase. He is also known for his prank calls, which he's done for over a decade on various radio morning shows, including the nationally syndicated “Bob and Tom Show.” In addition, he has been a regular contributor to ESPN’s “Sports Nation.”

His first full comedy CD, “Things I Think, I Think,” was released in 2013. It was followed by three nationally released prank call CDs: “My Momma Made Me Wear This,” “Confessions of a High School Bench Warmer” and “I’ll Slap You to Sleep!”
