WEST SILOAM SPRINGS, Okla. — Making a dysfunctional family and depression look almost endearing, Maria Bamford has taken the comedy world by storm. On December 2, she is set to perform in the Qualla Ballroom at Cherokee Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs.

Doors open at 8 p.m. Bamford kicks off the show at 9 p.m.

Tickets are $15 and on sale now on the casino’s website and at the hotel front desk.

Bamford is the first female comic to have two half-hour Comedy Central Presents specials. The actress stars in the semi-autobiographical Netflix comedy series “Lady Dynamite,” where she was selected as one of 2016’s must-see shows by Rolling Stone and Variety. The hit series was created by Pam Brady, a writer for “South Park” and Mitch Hurtwitz creator of “Arrested Development.”

The actress is also the creator and star of “Maria Bamford: the special special special” and of the cult hit web series, “The Maria Bamford Show,” which screened at the Museum of Art and Design. Bamford also starred alongside Patton Oswalt, Zach Galifianakis and Brian Posehn in the Comedy Central series “The Comedians of Comedy” and Netflix’s “Comedians of Comedy: The Movie.”

She has recurred on Netflix’s “Arrested Development” reboot as DeBrie Bardeaux, USA’s “Benched” and ABC’s hit “Fresh off the Boat.”

Her dynamic personality backs a voice heard from characters on various animated series, including “CatDog,” “BoJack Horsemen,” “Adventure Time,” “Legend of Korra,” “Puss in Boots” and PBS’s Emmy-winning series “Word Girl.” She has also provided the voice for lead roles on Fox’s “Golan the Insatiable” and Yahoo’s “Talking Tom & Friends.”

Bamford’s newest special “Old Baby” is now showing on Netflix.

Autograph signing and photos will follow the performance. Tickets can be purchased at the hotel front desk or online at www.WSSTickets.Showare.com.
