Andy Griggs to play a free show at Cherokee Casino Will Rogers Downs

CLAREMORE, Okla. – Country music’s hitmaking sensation Andy Griggs visits Claremore ‘s Cherokee Casino Will Rogers Downs on Aug. 24.

Griggs takes the stage for the free concert at 8 p.m. to perform fan favorites and hits from throughout his career.

In 1999, Griggs released his debut album, “You Won’t Ever Be Lonely” by RCA Records Nashville. The album was certified gold by the RIAA, with five singles charting on the Billboard Country Charts. “I’ll Go Crazy,” “You Won’t Ever Be Lonely” and “She’s More” broke the Top 10 hits, with the last two titles reaching the No. 2 spot.

The album propelled Griggs’ career, with his album spending 36 weeks on the charts.

Griggs released his second album, “Freedom,” in 2002. The album’s single “Tonight I Wanna Be Your Man” became Griggs’ fourth Top 10 hit, gracing the charts at No. 7.

Griggs has since released two more albums, 2004’s “This I Gotta See” and 2008’s “The Good Life,” both seeing Billboard success.
