Lynyrd Skynyrd returns Oct. 6 to Tulsa

Rock & Roll Hall of Famers to play The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. – Southern rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd are returning to The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa on Oct. 6.

Tickets start at $65 and go on sale Aug. 3.

For more than 40 years, the rock ‘n’ roll powerhouse has entertained fans with songs written from a southern blue-collar perspective.

Since releasing the 1973 debut “(Pronounced Leh-nerd Skin-nerd),” Lynyrd Skynyrd has sold more than 30 million albums and released 25 singles, including many staples of rock radio.

Among the band’s most popular songs are “Free Bird,” “Gimme Three Steps,” “Saturday Night Special,” “What’s Your Name?” and the beloved classic American rock anthem “Sweet Home Alabama.”

The band’s most recent release is 2012’s “Last of a Dyin’ Breed.” Lynyrd Skynyrd’s 12th studio album peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard 200, making it their biggest hit since 1977’s “Street Survivors,” which peaked at No. 5.

Lynyrd Skynyrd remains a cultural icon that appeals to all generations. In 2006, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
