TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – The Cherokee Nation is hosting a job fair Wednesday, July 12 in South Coffeyville for SP Foundry, a new company in the community.

The fair will be open from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Native American Fellowship Inc. community center, located at 215 Oklahoma Street. SP Foundry will be hiring for experienced and entry level positions, including machinist, maintenance tech, foundry workers, finishing line and machine operators. Attendees are asked to bring their resumes.

Last year Texas-based Star Pipe Products, parent of SP Foundry, announced it was expanding its manufacturing business to northeast Oklahoma, with support from Cherokee Nation and other economic development partners. Star Pipe manufactures and distributes quality iron products for the water and wastewater industry. The expansion into northeast Oklahoma is expected to bring 250 jobs to Nowata County.
