Celebrity comedian Bert Kreischer visits Cherokee Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs July 1
WEST SILOAM SPRINGS, Okla. — The true-life inspiration for the 2002 National Lampoon’s movie “Van Wilder,” Bert “The Machine” Kreischer is always the life of the party. On July 1, he visits Cherokee Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs for a wild night of comedy.
The “Life of the Party: Stories of a Perpetual Man-Child” author and comedian takes the Qualla Ballroom stage at 9 p.m. Doors open at 8 p.m.

In 1997, Kreischer was featured in Rolling Stone as “the top partier” at Florida State University, the top party school in the U.S. The year 1997 was Kreischer’s sixth year of college.
The Rolling Stone article soon became the inspiration for the 2002 National Lampoon’s hit “Van Wilder.” His career in showbiz was officially launched.
In 2000 and 2001, he was the co-host of the FX Network variety show ‘The X Show.” A hit segment from the show led the network to give the funnyman “Hurt Bert” a show of his own in 2004.
Kreischer is a regular guest on “The Joe Rogan Experience” and “The Rachael Ray Show” and has appeared on “Late Night With David Letterman” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
In 2009, Comedy Central aired his one-hour special, “Comfortably Dumb.” His book, “Life of the Party: Stories of a Perpetual Man-Child,” shares hilarious and outrageous stories that define his comedy.
