William Berry wins Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa main event, earns $180K

TULSA, Okla. — The World Series of Poker Circuit, the game’s most popular and most intense competition, recently concluded at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.

The big winner of the two-week event was William Berry. The Norman resident won $180,806 in the main event that featured 574 entrants competing for $861,000. The top 63 competitors finished in the money.

This stop on the circuit featured 12 official events in 12 days, including the $1,675 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em Main Event.

The tour features 22 confirmed U.S. circuit stops plus six international stops. This marked the first time the tour stopped in Tulsa.

WSOP Circuit Events are a series of poker tournaments hosted throughout the United States and throughout the world, beginning in early August each year and culminating the following summer, with a $1,000,000 Global Casino Championship where the victor earns a WSOP gold bracelet as well.
